|A Union Civil War Fort built in 1863 for the Defense of the Kentucky River||Park Hours|
October - April 9 AM - 5 PM
May - September 9 AM - 8 PM
The earthern fort was built by Union Soldiers to defend the ford and ferry at Boonesboro.
Today, very little remains of the earthen fort, but the site offers amazing views of the surrounding countryside and provides a beautiful view of the Kentucky River.
There is a moderately strenuous, wooded one-mile loop trail that provides panoramic views of the Kentucky River Valley and is a great place to take your pet for some refreshing exercise.
Self-guided tours and Cell phone tours are available.
